Assingment – Yamaha YZF R1

Well, just like I said I was testing my light setup to cover an assignment, of making some good pictures of Yamaha YZF R1, that was meant to be sold on auction. It was pretty obvious (Murphy’s laws) that I would not use the light the next day,  because I was prepared for it. Nevertheless the light was just so soft (thanks to the fog) that I need no softbox or any lighting of any kind.

Long time no see

Long time no see, but I have been a bit busy lately. My wedding site is nearly finished [85% at this point] but costed me more money and time than I expected. Good that it is made just like I wanted it to be made. Go check it out if you haven’t seen it yet, and leave me some reviews if you like it or not. The address is http://www.medius.net.pl/. I have also done some more commercial photos lately (at last ;) ) some samples below. One was for the local car wash (nothing exotic just a few shots of their crew at work) and the second one was some clothes – also can be seen below.

By the way, there are a few new Sigma lenses that are just about to emerge at stores. First one is Sigma 85f/1.4 (shots taken from flickr) witch I believe will be a Nikon 85/1.4 killer. Just take a look at that monster! 2266_550_sigma_85 Continue reading ‘Long time no see’

Colors of fall

Soon everything will be grey outside, so it is the last moment to take some colour shots. When snow drops down (or not) whether is dull, colors are gone, motivation “0″, and my camera profile looks like – profile B&W + “EV +2″ for 5-6 month’s.  It’s almost like putting your camera to a bag for some time.

So! Enjoy what’s left of this season … :)

First wedding anniversary plus Spyder 3 pro

Hi there. Recently I was visiting my friend (I was his best-man) on the day of his first anniversary. I took some photos as usual… The more interesting part is that these were developed in Lightroom, after I made my first LCD calibration. I did bought that little thingi (Spyder 3 Pro) that is capable of doing some magic on your uncalibrated screen. Everything look’s very different now. I do not have such a strong contrasts in color, but I definitely can see more colours being displayed even on Windows icons. It’s like jumping from 400D to D700 in one step. The general feeling is that now I have more tonal range on my screen. Needles to say that now my style of developing photos my vary from one that I used to like.

Some of my photos may look a little bit different now. Please leave some comment’s  if anything look odd on your display, even though that it really shouldn’t :) DSC_3500
